Ashley Graham, an American, plus-sized model, is putting an end to the stereotypes surrounding body shape. The fabulously curvy supermodel has modeled clothing for Lane Bryant and has her own lingerie line available through Nordstrom. In addition, she has appeared on the cover of numerous fashion magazines including Vogue, Glamour and Elle. Graham was also the first plus-sized model to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue. In 2012, she was named Full Figured Fashion Week’s Model of the Year, so she’s an outstanding source of inspiration if you’re looking for styles that flatter a voluptuous figure.
Ashley Graham is spotted in a strappy, black crop top with a below-the-knee, high-waisted black skirt at the “Patrick Demarchelier” special exhibition preview to celebrate NYFW: The Shows for Spring 2016 at Christie’s. She coupled it with black sandals and a black clutch. Ashely says the trick to wearing a crop top for plus-sized women is to wear pants or a skirt that covers the belly button.
Out and about in New York, Ashley is seen here in a sleeveless, knee-length dress with rounded neckline. The dark material is imprinted with an eye-catching, geometric design. She pairs it with cream-colored heels with dainty straps. Small prints and abstract lines are more becoming to a full figure than larger patterns, especially floral prints.
Ashley coordinates sleek, black, leather leggings with a thigh-length, sleeveless top with open back to show off fashionable attire worthy of the office or a casual gathering. The tapered leggings in combination with the pumps visually lengthen the legs.
